The finished project at Ikea, Peterborough.

Caterfix were awarded the refurbishment contract for the IKEA staff restaurant facility at their Peterborough distribution centre.  The contract period of 2 weeks was accomplished on time and within budget.  The contract comprised and included:

 

- New decorative finishes including 'white rock sheeting'

- The renewal of vinyl non-slip flooring throughout the area

- New build food counters including a refrigerated island self-serve display

- New catering equipment including oven ranges, combi-ovens and bratt pan

- The forming of a new dishwashing area and conveyorised dishwasher

- New extraction to both dishwasher and food production areas

 

All works were completed by Caterfix's own Installation and Service Technicians within the limited timescale as required by the client.  With layout drawings produced in-house by Caterfix, and the total project management carried out by dedicated Caterfix staff, the complete project was ready for handover 24hrs earlier than specified.

 

 

Client's Comments:  "We genuinely did not think the timescale allowed was achieveable, but Caterfix pulled it out of the bag.  Both management and staff have been impressed by the dedication, skill, quality of equipment, and final new look to the restaurant and food servery counters.  Our caterers are now able to achieve a varied and much improved menu, as proven by customers numbers and increase of trade to the area."

David Iacono and his fantastic team sourced a minibar for my husband's cinema room.  I needed a very specific cooler which would hold a selection of soft drinks and confectionery but it had to be black in colour with a glass door, internal LED lighting and, most importantly, to run quietly so you could watch a movie without that fridge 'humming' noise in the background.  I ended up purchasing the Tefcold TM50G Glass chiller and it is just perfect.  People kept telling me that I needed to turn the fridge on but I already had - it is THAT quiet!  It is a wonderful piece of catering equipment, hubby loves it, and Caterfix provided the most competitive price around.  I wanted to pick it up rather than have it delivered and they stored it until I was ready to visit their warehouse and pick it up.  Then a member of the team helped me to load it into my car and gave me care instructions about what to do when I got home with it and how long to leave it before starting it up.  I can't thank the team enough - everyone comments on the cooler so I imagine Caterfix will get a few more calls over the next few weeks from my friends and family who all want one!

David and his team have created my dream demo kitchen on wheels!  This fantastic durable design uses energy induction cooking to give precise and responsive energy which produce perfect results every time.  It is ideal for cooking demonstrations as well as outdoor catering events.  The two induction hobs are extremely precise (heat wise) and are fantastic for lower temperature water bath cooking 'Sous Vide'.
