November 1st 2018 was the one year anniversary that brothers Ajaz and Idris Akhtar took over CaterFix. It has been a fantastic year for all of us, we are proud of everything that CaterFix has achieved and we are so grateful to the team for all their hard work and commitment throughout this year. Also, a big thank you to our suppliers and loyal customers who have stuck with the company. We are looking in great shape for 2019 and we can not wait to see what the new year brings.
Caterfix are delighted with our refurb at Bera’s Restaurant in Colchester this week.
Bera’s was born from the owner’s idea to combine tradition and innovation in Italian cuisine, making use of seasoned and first rate ingredients, preferably zero-mile products.
You can see a picture of the kitchen during the refurb and once it has all been completed. Full of superb new and quality reconditioned equipment at a budget price, all with full warranty. Blue Seal burners, Williams freezer and chiller, Precision and True counters, Hobart dishwasher and plenty of fabrication.
We wish them all the luck in the future and look forward to
supplying them with whatever they may need as their restaurant grows.

The CaterfFix team had a great time Friday at our hospitality New Market event. We received great customer feedback and we look forward to treating our customers again in the future! Thank you to all the customers who could make it, we hope you enjoyed you time and the Motown Concert as much as we did.
All Souls Parish Church, built in 1896, located in Peterborough has always been actively involved in the community by organising many events such as Coffee Mornings, Mums and Tots and children’s catechism. There is a proud sense of community of which the locals love to get involved in. Until recently staff had been solely relying
on a basic, domestic style kitchen for their cooking since opening the Parish Centre in 1996. However, it became apparent that this wasn’t sufficient to cope with the demands of the ever-growing catering requirements. Therefore, by working with CaterFix the decision was made to upgrade to a commercial style kitchen.
Support
At Caterfix we have a team of inhouse CAD designers who will work with you to ensure your kitchen meets all your needs. Offering superb 3D visuals and detailed M&E and kitchen plan drawings we will ensure you have all the technical details required to pursue your project quickly. By listening closely to the demands of All Souls Church we successfully met the standards All Souls Church were looking for. “I loved cooking in it,” says Pat, one of the Parish volunteers. “The stainless-steel fabrication creates a smooth finish for the kitchen, leaving more room and giving it a professional commercial kitchen look. The kitchen staff were very excited about cooking in it.” As well as the kitchen, the church was going through other renovations. The wooden floor in the Centre was professionally cleaned and restained and sealed, office space will be refreshed and en-suite facility has been filled to one of the rooms in the house. When asked why they decided now was the right time make changes Pat explained that they haven’t had a redesign in 20 years and it needed to “freshen up”. CaterFix were proud to be part of this renovation and ensured we would fit all equipment smoothly – which we did in just 2 week.

The Equipment
At the heart of every kitchen is its equipment, the focal point of this project was to turn this domestic style kitchen into a simple, yet versatile commercial kitchen design that would adapt to all eventualities. We couldn’t have done this without the right commercial equipment that Caterfix offers. The Team fitted Altro flooring, wall cladding, new kitchen lights, a
microwave, a sleek granite countertop and perhaps the most defining part of the kitchen was the stainless-steel fabrication and Hobart undercounter dishwasher. We received a generous amount of feedback from the staff about how the Hobart dishwasher has benefitted them. A member of the wash up team has Parkinson’s disease and she expressed how helpful the dishwasher’s easy accessibility is for her, considering the church feed up to 50-100 people the Dishwasher has proven itself a significant factor in their every day operation.
Further to this, when we asked members of the Church how they benefitted from our products, the overall feedback showed that they were pleased with the large amounts of storage space and the sleek marble worktop is a perfect addition to the commercial style kitchen. In addition to this, the stainless-steel fabrication provides easy access by having smooth sliding doors and drawers and wider counter area for food preparation.

The Establishment
Pushing the boundaries of traditional Indian food, Inito’s offers a menu packed with urban dishes made lighter and healthier for you to enjoy. The CaterFix team visited their second establishment and to give you a better idea of what to expect, the owners described it as an eclectic mix of styles where traditional Indian food meets the vibrant modern world.
Inito’s urban food offers a unique yet casual dining experience. With their premises based in Shoreditch they have successfully attracted the quirky local customers with their aim to offer Indian food with traditional flavours at heart.
The Products
At the heart of the operation is a bustling kitchen. The focal point was the interior and how to best utilise a limited, narrow space (see images). The CaterFix team installed stainless steel fabrication, a Rational SCC101 Electric Combination oven, a Roller Grill Panini Machine, a Hamilton Beach rice cooker, Hobart undercounter Glass washer, an Interlevin pizza prep fridge, display case and UR200S fridge. As well as this, we fitted a Pentland Ice Cuber, Fracino Coffee machine and finally a Lincat sandwich grill, induction hob and hot cupboard.
The Outcome
Here at CaterFix we always ensure our customers have the best products that meets the needs of their kitchen. The equipment we installed gave the staff ample preparation space not to mention maximising kitchen efficiency and time. The stylish and intelligent, Rational SelfCooking
Centre SCC101 played a large part in reducing workloads exactly the way Inito wanted. The team at Inito’s told us that it cooks quickly, its easy to use and it saves you time in the process by optimising mixed loads this unit will deliver 100-200 meals per day. Which is perfect as Inito tells us they have over 100 customers during their lunch time rush hour.

Caterfix’s service
We asked why Behrooz Khossousi, Director of Operations at Inito’s, chose CaterFix compared to other companies that are local. He said CaterFix is a dynamic catering company – we offer catering equipment both new and reconditioned all whilst offering engineering services for installation and repairs and commercial kitchen design and projects. Behrooz also said that they trusted our service over competitors as our team took the time to carry out a pre-quote survey, going onto the site and fully examining the kitchen to ensure the best and right products could be fitted.
