CaterFix Supplies Moor Farm’s New Kitchen!

There has been a big trend recently in the development of Farm Shops by longstanding historical farms around the outskirts of Peterborough. Leading the way is Moor Farm of Newborough.

The heritage of Moor Farm dates to the Neolithic times, it is known for its outstanding quality meat and homegrown produce as well as being the perfect spot for an afternoon tea! Their working site stretches across 600 acres of arable and pastoral farmland and much like CaterFix, they hold family values to be the foundation of their business.

CaterFix has been delighted to work closely with Moor Farm over the past year. Their tearoom uses produce grown on their own land, ranging from free-range, grass-fed, Red Tractor assured meat, which is fully traceable, being born and bred on their own land, to locally made jams, fresh seasonal vegetables, homemade cakes, freshly laid eggs, and much more! They are also an English mustard grower for Colman’s.

CaterFix has been established since 2000, supplying new and reconditioned catering equipment as well as a service and repair section. Customer satisfaction has always been held highly at CaterFix and can be shown through the approach to all our jobs. “Regarding repairs and providing us with second-hand equipment, the service has been exceptional…” Judith from Moor Farm commented. “Your staff are kind and approachable, obliging… 10/10 for them”.

The design of the kitchen was to utilise the space available to achieve several different culinary functions from a quick afternoon tea to a full Sunday roast. The Rational Combi Oven leads the way in offering the capacity for all the shop’s customer’s varying tastes.

Equipment Installed and Supplied:

A combination of new and good quality reconditioned equipment was selected from CaterFix to keep costs down but to ensure reliability. Foster, Rational, Samsung, and Lincat were just some of the suppliers used to source equipment. “In the future, we will continue to go with CaterFix and the great local service they offer,” Judith commented.
